According to the CDC—1 in 10 American adults is depressed. That stat alone is depressing and if you Google depression symptoms you may think you’re depressed.

The increasing rate of depression is indeed very alarming. I think people should start taking it seriously. Family and friends plays an important role too; if they notice their loved ones are starting to show signs of depression, they should take the initiative to seek help like counselling and therapy.
