An estimated 26 million Americans have diabetes–and if you Google thirst or headaches you may think you have diabetes because–well, take a look.
It’s the first thing that appears on your computer screen–but don’t worry just yet.
“People are very relieved to find out they don’t have diabetes.” Doctor Jane Sadler of Baylor-Garland said. “Just because you’re hungry all the time or thirty all the time doesn’t really mean you have diabetes.”

Diabetes runs in my family and I'm probably going to get it any time now. My job gives annual physicals and if I'm found to have diabetes, I'll be fired. Would eating before a blood test stabilize my sugar level if I get it, or just mess everything up?
