Skipping work and camping out in the cold. Does that sound like fun? Well, dozens of parents in Arlington are doing it, and it isn’t to get a discount on electronics.
It’s to get their kids into the school of their choice.
They’ll be waiting outside the Arlington ISD administration building until March 2nd.
Kristen and Phillip Woods pulled up a camper Monday to begin their week-long camp-out.
“We just came out here to enroll my son in a better school,” said Kristen Woods. “Just where we’re at right now has a lower rating than some of the other schools in the area, and we just want to place him in a good school that has a lot of different programs.”
