Chest pain can be scary–if it’s not serious enough to make you rush to the hospital you may Google chest pain just to check it out–and then your eyes get this big when you see heart disease.
“It’s something that we see very often in our office,” Dr. Risha Kopel of Arbor Green Family Medicine clinic in Dallas, TX said.
Heart disease is a big deal and shouldn’t be taken lightly but chest pain can be caused by a lot of things besides the heart.
Anxiety, panic attacks and even too much coffee can make your heart feel weird–even painful.

“Caffeine for example, very common,” Dr. Kopel said. “People take too much caffeine, stay up late for a work project or schoolwork and drink too much caffeine the next day and they can certainly cause palpitations. Certain cold medicines, cough medicines can certainly cause palpitations or chest discomfort.”
