The texas legislature may pay tribute to Merle Haggard.  A bill calls for Haggard to be honored for his contributions to the Musical Heritage of Texas.  Haggard’s originally from California and he sang about being an Okie from Muskogee but he also teamed up with Willie Neslon back in the 80s for their hit “Pancho and Lefty.”
