The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band continued its five-decade run as a trailblazing album. Heritage Auctions got an all-time record for a Beatles autograph when a pristine mono Sgt. Pepper signed by all four members of the band sold for nearly 300-thousand dollars. That far exceeds early estimates. When Heritage first listed the item, experts predicted the album would only sell for around 30-thousand dollars. The previous record for an autographed Beatles album was $150,000.
