A series of twisters touched down last spring, destroying hundreds of homes and buildings. One structure in particular bore the brunt of the storm – Saint Barnabas United Methodist Church in Arlington. Just five days before Easter last year, part of its sanctuary and campus were badly damaged. But, that didn’t stop the congregation from holding Easter services. Now, a year later, it’s a different story. Yesterday, parishioners held mass indoors. It took months of hard work and 3-million dollars to rebuild the church. Sunday was indeed a day to rejoice and remember what took place, and more importantly, what it took to overcome.
