Pope Francis lead his first Easter Sunday mass as leader of the Roman Catholic church. Tens of thousands packed Saint Peter’s square to hear the Pope deliver his sermon and prayers. This is the holiest day on the Christian calendar. After the communion rite, the pontiff gave his blessing to the faithful in the square and around the world. That is always a high point in the papal mass on Easter. And Francis continues to break away from tradition. He moved through the St. Peters crowd in the famed pope-mobile, without the bullet-proof glass. He also made it a point to stop and give individual blessings..creating some of the more touching moments at the Vatican.
