Western Diets Turn Out To Be Killers

Doctors have long told us that the Western diet, consisting of fried foods, red meat, and lots of sugar and processed foods is unhealthy. But Americans love to over do it. Now researchers say too much of a good thing can kill you. They studied five thousand adults who were followed for an average of 16 years. What they found is that only 4 percent enjoyed “ideal aging,” which is defined as being free from chronic diseases and have strong physical and mental abilities. Their conclusion? Limit your trips to McDonalds and Pizza Hut.
