FYI

The 5 Presidents Are Coming!

George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter will all be in the same place, at the same time.  The number one reason to get these Prez’s togethe?  The opening of the George W. Bush Presidential Center at SMU College, sounds cool right?!

Riley Spencer thinks so, “It’s going to be the coolest thing ever.”

So, here’s what’s not so cool.  There are thousands of students at SMU who well, normally attend classes, and this VIP visit will cause some of them to stay home.

Also, tougher security and traffic.  Spencer told us that they are asking all students to move their cars, and that secret service searched their frat house.

So what about everybody else? Here are the three ways it will affect you.

Closures..and traffic! Yes even if you don’t attend SMU.. Beginning Wednesday afternoon, there will be dozens of streets closed!

Below are additional road closures around the SMU campus for the opening of the George W. Bush Presidential Library. The Dallas Police Department will continue to post road closure updates as they become available. We are asking the public to plan their commutes accordingly and seek alternative routes to minimize traffic delays in the affected areas. The closures are in effect for the entire day unless otherwise noted in bold.
