Neil Diamond announced he’ll donate royalties from his song “Sweet Caroline” to help victims of the Boston marathon bombings. The money will go to the “One Fund Boston,” which had raised more than 23 million dollars for bombing victims as of Wednesday. “Sweet Caroline” has been played at every home Boston Red Sox game for more than a decade. According to Neilsen Soundscan, the song was downloaded more than 19 thousand times this week, putting sales up nearly 600 percent. Diamond told Rolling Stone earlier this week that he’s recording a new song about the bombings and other tragedies.
