Wrigley Halts Caffeine Gum Sales

Listen up! Wrigley is pulling its new line of caffeinated gum. It’s in response to FDA concerns about caffeine’s effect on kids and teens. “Alert Energy Caffeine Gum” has as much jolt as a half a cup of coffee. The FDA says Wrigley will stop making, selling, and marketing the gum. It was introduced  earlier this month. In case you don’t already know, caffeine boots heart rate, interferes with sleep and increases anxiety. Maybe that’s why Pediatricians are concerned.
