The National Security Agency is still not very forth-coming about its spy programs. According to the Washington Post, the NSA broke privacy laws thousands of times after it was granted new surveillance powers back in 2008. The paper reports the agency improperly spied on Americans and foreigners while on US soil. The post said it got the information from accused leaker Edward Snowden. The chairman of the senate judiciary committee is proposing to hold hearings to look at the NSA’s tactics.
