New Kind of Advertising for Super Bowl

A new kind of advertising will greet fans in Times Square and Metlife Stadium this weekend.

In both Seattle and Denver, the National Football League has sprinkled tiny wireless transmitters that can send finely tuned messages to smartphones.

They’ll be personalized alerts based on physical location, down to a matter of feet.

These will let fans know where they can find things like the nearest entry gate or the cheapest beer.
